Subsurface Utility Engineering Services (SUE) is the latest service offering from Chazen.
Poughkeepsie, NY (July 18, 2016) – The Chazen Companies, an employee-owned company specializing in civil engineering, land surveying, planning, environmental and safety consulting, and landscape architecture services, today announced the offering of Subsurface Utility Engineering services for the benefit of its clients.
With Subsurface Utility Engineering services (SUE), Chazen can now offer its clients a cost effective, non-destructive method of understanding the location and extent of subsurface utilities utilizing the most current geophysical sensing technology to identify subsurface infrastructure. Chazen’s surveying and mapping capabilities provide project designers highly detailed digital drawings to assist with the analysis and management of the risk and uncertainty associated with subsurface utilities. Chazen’s drawings provide valuable data including the precise location, size, depth and type of subsurface utilities, which prevents costly downtime and the potential negative impacts caused by the inadvertent damage to or disturbance of existing subsurface utilities.
Chazen listens to each client’s needs and goals, and provides a custom approach and high level of service with each client’s best interests in mind. Chazen’s team of professionals assures quality control and best management practices by following industry standards in accordance with ASCE 38-02, “Standard Guideline for the Collection and Depiction of Existing Subsurface Utility Data”, providing quality level “D” through “B” utility location and mapping. The adoption of SUE services supports Chazen’s mission to provide responsible, high value and innovative design services to meet our clients’ goals.
