The Chazen Companies is pleased to announce John Revette, P.E., has been granted certification by the American Academy of Environmental Engineers and Scientists® as a Board Certified Environmental Engineer (BCEE) in the specialty of Water Supply and Wastewater Engineering.
Each candidate is required to possess certain minimum qualifications such as a degree in environmental engineering or related engineering degree, hold a valid license to practice professional engineering and professionally engage in environmental engineering activities on a full-time basis.
The certification requires an application process to sit for the exam based on their experience as a process engineer working primarily on wastewater treatment plan evaluation, design and construction and is internationally recognized as a premier credential. Upon approval, written and verbal exams are conducted to test knowledge of the subject matter and then awarded certification by the Board of Trustees of the Academy.

Revette earned his bachelor’s degree from Clarkson University in Potsdam, N.Y. and his master’s degree from John Hopkins University in Baltimore, Md. He has also co-authored the WEFTEC 2014 paper “Design Considerations for Magnetite-Ballasted Activated Sludge Facilities.”
