Mr. Murray has over 40 years of experience writing and administering state and federal funding programs for local municipalities. He has been successful in securing over 30 million dollars for infrastructure, economic and community development activities for client communities and in his new role with Chazen will assist communities with access to Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds.
Mr. Murray is founder and principal of Shelter Planning & Development, Inc. (Shelter) and is merging their operation with The Chazen Companies. Shelter’s clients will enjoy expanded access to Chazen’s grant writing team and broad offering of consulting services.

Mr. Murray received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Syracuse University and his Masters in Public Administration from Maxwell Graduate School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University. He is a certified planner with the American Institute of Certified Planners.
