Our company was founded by Milton Chazen, the quintessential self-made man. An engineer and entrepreneur, he was brilliant, dynamic, and driven to excel.
He was also highly determined. Milton started the business with a single service and a sole employee. Assisted by his wife Fay, he spent long hours in the field surveying land for clients.
These legacies are the source of our success. They've helped build our business since 1947. And they continue to characterize our company today.
The Chazen Companies is now a mid-size firm that's regional in reach. We have branch operations throughout our five offices in Poughkeepsie, Newburgh, Troy, Glens Falls, New York and Waterford, Connecticut. The clients we serve represent all walks of business life - municipalities, governmental agencies, commercial developers, private institutions and industries, and preservationists.
Chazen has expanded greatly over the past few decades. Yet, we remain a family-run company, rooted in Main Street values.
