St. Peter's Hospital
TCC provided survey, civil and landscape architectural services to St. Peter's Hospital as part of the Mallin Mendel & Associates (Envision Architects) design team. Specific services included, campus survey including boundary, topographic and utility survey information, site consulting services for an expansion of the hospital's emergency department, site design for utilities and parking area improvements, planning documents administered through the City in advance of construction, including construction administration through shop drawing review, periodic construction assessment and completed works certification. Chazen alsso provided landscape architecture services for streetscape improvements along New Scotland Avenue integrating a new CDTA bus shelter and signs introduced as part of a "way finding" program developed by Mallin Mendel & Associates (Envision Architects). Other elements included site drainage, parking reconfiguration, pedestrian routing, and site security (lighting and traffic control).
Chazen also completed a comprehensive drainage study of the main campus stormsewer system at the hospital near an ambulatory services entrance. Computer modeling methodologies were employed to define existing conditions, establish deficiencies and evaluate alternatives for system improvements. Selected improvements were implemented addressing the flooding problems previously experienced.
