The Chazen Companies (TCC) is currently providing full design, engineering, landscape architecture, permitting, planning and survey services for the redevelopment of 24+ acres brownfield site along the waterfront in the Village of Tarrytown.
The key design components for the successful economic and aesthetic revitalization of this waterfront development are the abilities to design a project that balances both public and private space, incorporates the appropriate balance of development density onto the site, location of mixed use space throughout the site and the ability to define the character of the space through the appropriate use of architecture and landscape architecture scale, proportion and material selections.
The Ferry Landings Waterfront site will consist of 247 residential units, 80,000 s.f. of professional commercial/office space, 20,000 s.f. of restaurant/retail space and a pedestrian-friendly main street with shopping and dining, 10+ acres of public/private open green space, 2.5 acres waterfront park, over 500 new trees throughout the site, well designed streetscape environments, new Village Hall and Police Station, a new DPW facilities building, and upgrades to the existing recreational and senior center.
