The Chazen Companies was a subcontractor to Nelson/Nygard Consulting Associates on this study that was funded in part under the Capital District Transportation Committee’s (CDTC) Community and Transportation Linkage Planning Program. TCC assisted Nelson/Nygard in all facets of this study that explored transportation opportunities presented by the redevelopment of the 330-acre Harriman State Office Campus into the Harriman Research and Technology Park, and which suggested improvements to the multi-modal transportation system in this area that includes the Harriman Campus, the University at Albany, Albany NanoTech, and surrounding neighborhoods and commercial areas in the City of Albany. The study included two interactive community workshops and the significant involvement of the many stakeholders in this area of New York State’s capital city.
